In the Great Outdoors, the “golden hour” isn’t always a reality. We give you the skills to manage incidents, stabilise casualties, and make critical decisions in remote environments where Mountain Rescue or an ambulance might be hours—not minutes—away.

Our course is strictly aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) Band 3 standards, providing a qualification that is nationally recognised and equivalent to Level 3 Outdoor First Aid.

This course meets the requirements of British Cycling, ML, SPA, RYA, BCU, ASSI, BOF, Duke of Edinburgh’s, BASI, Forest School, National Coasteering Charter and Scouts to name but a few.

 

• Assessment Through Action: There is no written exam at the end of this course. Instead, your instructor will assess your skills throughout the course. We believe your ability to bandage a wound in the rain is a much better measure of success than a multiple-choice paper.

 

• Feedback in Real-Time: Because the assessment is ongoing, you’ll receive immediate, constructive coaching after each scenario, allowing you to refine your technique and build confidence before the course ends.
