Outdoor First Aid Course (16 hours – 2 Day)

Outdoor First Aid Course (16 hours – 2 Days)

BOOK HERE

Our 2 Day Outdoor First Aid Course (WFAC) adheres to standard 3 of the Institute of Outdoor Learning – Outdoor First Aid Training Framework.

Outdoor First Aid is a specific discipline in First Aid. Outdoor First Aid presents the rescuer with the unique situation of prolonged care of a patient in a remote area, before definitive medical care can be provided. In such situations the emergency medical services may be difficult to obtain or delayed and there are a number of different skills required compared to the urban setting.

Throughout your Outdoor First Aid course you will be presented with a number of realistic situations involving casualty make up. This will challenge and enhance the skills and knowledge you have acquired during the course.

Our two course fulfils the needs of most of the outdoor national governing bodies such as SMBLA, ML, SPA, RYA, BCU, ASSI, BOF & Forest Schools.

by Nigel Chater on 2 day Outdoor First Aid

As a mountain leader I needed to renew my first aid qualification. I found the 2 day Outdoor first Aid course both fun and challenging. Andy’s practical knowledge and advice made this course shine out from others I have attended. Don’t expect overhead projectors and PowerPoint presentations this course is truly ‘Outdoors’. I found the website easy to use and it gave me a good variety of dates to choose from. Andy ensured that the casualty scenarios were realistic and more importantly relevant to my work. This course will be at the top of my list when it’s time to refresh my knowledge. 2 Day Outdoor First Aid

After years of renewing my first aid certificate in stuffy classrooms with sheaves of notes never looked at again, this course was a breath of fresh air - literally.....With Andy and his amazing team we got one valuable list of first aid kit contents, one simple (SAMPLE) acrostic to remind us what info to get from the 'patient' and a host of practical advice. Treating casualties in the woods for injuries and incidents that you really might potentially meet was stimulating and scary in equal measure. This course was practical, relevant and fun. I feel so much more confident that I CAN do this.Thank you, guys!  Lynda Woods  Sussex Wildlife Trust
